MIU is an international university preparing leaders for the new millennium, as well as further educating the current leadership. The university campus serves not only Mongolians, but also minority groups from Russia’s Siberian area (Buryatia, Tuva, Yajutia) and China (Inner Mongolia, Uygur, Tibet). With a hundred percent foreign juridical foundation endorsed by the Mongolian government, MIU was established on September 4, 2002.

1) Preparing Trustworthy Leadership for the New Millennium

MIU emphasizes on fundamental curriculum focused on computer engineering and English. This provides the students with international exchange programs with other universities all over the world.

2) Further Educating the Current Leadership of Mongolia

Through our dynamic "Global Management and Leadership Program," MIU is able to further educate Mongolia’s government officials. The university fosters international activities for existing and preparing leaders in the areas such as politics, arts, and economy. This provides solutions for current social problems with promoting a variety of social services.

3) Maintaining an International University

By reaching out to minority groups in Siberia, China and other Central Asian countries, MIU has a reputation of being an outstanding international campus. MIU encourages the students to actively participate in international exchange programs and to get involved in "Vision Trip". "Vision Trip" is an innovative approach for students to experience, explore and study abroad by visiting other counties during their summer and winter break.

4) Generating Tools for the Revival of Mongolia

MIU has established partnerships with 100 local educational institutions. These partnerships will be contributed to give many opportunities for the students and promote social services for the local areas.
