MIU strives to be a leading research-oriented university in Central Asia. It seeks to achieve the highest levels of knowledge and understanding through constant research developments in the areas of appropriate technology, resource and energy, environment conservation, and food science. The purpose of the Research Development Affairs is to support the research activity of staff members as well as students; it develops the conditions for further research in various fields of study, so that MIU can be upgraded into a research-oriented University and a 21st Century global leader-training University.

Genghis Khan Leadership Center
As globalization continues to shape the 21st century, leadership becomes an increasingly important focus. The Genghis Khan Leadership Center aims to:
