Application process

1. Complete Application Form: Submitting all Required Application Forms through MIU Official Website, or through MIU Admission Portal on Google Classroom (Application Forms can be downloaded from MIU Website).
2. Take MIU Entrance Exam (Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Essay & Speaking) – 70%: Applicants will be notified with MIU Entrance Exam schedule, and join MIU Entrance Exam ( and Skill Test for EE, MC, ME Departments) through Zoom (For the students who are residing outside Mongolia).
3. Document Screening – 30%: The application documents will be evaluated by the Admission Committee.
4. Admission Result Announcement: Applicants will receive individual admission result email from the Admission Affairs Office.
5. Scholarship Application Announcement: The Admission Affairs will announce the MIU Scholarship Application beside Admission Scholarships.
6. Official Acceptance Letter & Tuition Fee Invoice: Applicants will receive the official acceptance letters and invoices from the Admission Affairs office.
7. Payment of Fees: Applicants need to send the receipts of their payments to the Admission Affairs office.

3. Application Interview: Applicants will be notified individually with their interview schedule.
4. Admission Result Announcement: Applicants will receive individual admission result email from the Admission Affairs Office.
5. Official Acceptance Letter & Tuition Fee Invoice: Applicants will receive the official acceptance letters and invoices from the Admission Affairs office.
6. Payment of Fees: Applicants need to send the receipts of their payments to the Admission Affairs office

  • English Certificate of High School Graduation translated in Mongolian /Foreign students/
  • Notarized English translation of National Exam score
  • Notarized Official High School Records in English /Copy/

  • Copy of Valid Passport /copy/
  • Two Passport-size Photos (3×4)
  • HIV/AIDS Test Results /copy/

REQUIREMENTS

For Undergraduate program candidates:

Eligibility:

1. All applicants must have completed or be expected to complete high school, secondary education, or an equivalent education prior to their enrollment.
2. All applicants must give an entrance exam as part of the admission process.
3. English Education (EE), Music Education (ME), and  departments require a skill test in order to enroll into MIU.
4. If an applicant fails the skill test but successfully passes the MIU Entrance Exam, the applicant may register for the second choice of a different major. If the second choice program requires a skill test, the applicant shall take and pass the skill test in order to enroll into MIU.

 

Passing Grades

The Entrance Exam consists of five sections: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Essay, and Speaking.

Entrance Exam 70% of final Admission Score:
– Grammar, Vocabulary, & Reading – 20% / Essay – 40% / Speaking – 40%
– Passing Grade: 70% or above (out of 100%)
Document Screening: 30% of final Admission Score:
– Statement of Purpose & Recommendation Letter
– Including and above 60%

For Year-Zero program graduates:

Eligibility:

1. All applicants must have completed or be expected to complete high school, secondary education or an equivalent education prior to their enrollment. 

2. Year Zero applicants who has successfully completed their studies are eligble to enter MIU without MIU Entrance Exam.
