A dual-degree program with Business & Hotel Managment School, Lucerne City, Switzerland.

Starting in Fall 2024, MIU’s International Management and Hotel Management students will have the opportunity to enroll in a dual-degree program with Business & Hotel Management School, Lucerne City, Switzerland. (Hereinafter referred to as BHMS)

The agreement between the two universities was signed on March 14, 2024 by MIU’s president Ohmoon Kwon. It will give opportunities to MIU’s SOM students to study abroad. The program involves the first two years of study at MIU’s School of Management(SOM). If a student meets the course, 6 months of internship in Mongolia, and an IELTS of 5.5 or equivalent, they will then study the second two years at BHMS, in Lucerne city Switzerland. Furthermore, BHMS will grant a special scholarship to MIU’s students in the program.

BHMS educates students not only on academic knowledge, but also on practical skill. Industry training is an integral part of any study program offered by B.H.M.S. During every academic year, students are required to carry out a 4-6 month industry training period in a hotel or a restaurant approved by B.H.M.S. In addition, B.H.M.S. works with numerous international placement agencies that specialize in placing graduate students in Europe, Asia and North America. A Career and Placement Counselor assists students with placements in hotels and restaurants in Switzerland and abroad.

Participating students will be required to meet the financial obligations of BHMS, as well as the first two years at MIU. In return, they will be able to experience life as a student at one of famous schools in Hotel management and receive not one, but two bachelor’s degrees.
